PETROCAST 2040 water base release agent suitable for aluminum and light alloys
PETROCAST 2040 is a water based product. Its dilution ratio with water is suggested to be 1:50 to 1:200, which can be changed according to the casting process and mold conditions. This lubricant is also stable with hard water, but it is suggested to be used with purified water to achieve the best performance. The diluted product can be used with a spray gun or an automatic sprayer.

Description and Performance
PETROCAST 2040 is a water-based release agent suitable for diecasting of aluminum and its alloys, which acts as a separating agent between the mold and the part, facilitates the lubrication of the moving parts of the mold, such as muscle sliders and spring pins, increases the melt flow during filling. It is molded and by creating a protective coating on the surface of the mold, it facilitates the smooth flow of the melt, prevents the adhesion of aluminum to the mold and prevents the corrosion of the mold. Also, PETROCAST 2040 can affect the surface quality of the part and create a casting part with a smooth surface without spots or traces of melt flow.
Maintenance
It should be kept in a closed environment and in a temperature range between 2 and 40 degrees Celsius.
Shelf life: two years in original packaging
Close the lid of the container completely to prevent evaporation or contamination.
